In 2013 our family was elated to have the good fortune to see Christopher (our junior photographer) graduate from MCRD (Marine Corps Recruit Depot) Parris Island, S.C. What a terrific moment. To realize so many of our young men and women are beginning their military careers - oorah! We closed the year, and office, due to my need for a long postponed much needed surgery. After the surgery we traveled to Missouri to witness the administering of the Oath of Office for USMC Military Police Officer Lance Corporal Christopher Taylor. To say we're very proud of Christopher may be an understatement.
2014 brought yet more excitement in the changing of career paths. I took a job closer to home, in Annapolis. Our other junior photographer, daughter Stephanie, married her betrothed and best friend, Patrick.
2015 was filled with the joy of Christopher returning to the US after a tour of duty assigned to a Marines camp in the Pacific, and his reassignment much closer to home. We had many ups and downs with Grandma’s health issues taking her to the hospital, physical rehabilitation and home again.
2016 is a roller coaster of life’s joys and challenges. Christopher has been able to visit several times on extended leave days. Grandma’s health remained a great concern for us all, as she returned to the hospital several times. She unfortunately succumbed to a myriad of heart related issues, and went home to be with the Lord, and my father, late August. We continue to adjust to Grandma’s absence. We look forward to expanding the photography work with the “junior” photographers close to home once again.
